I know that the problem you’re facing is a serious one. If the solution were simple, you wouldn’t be here considering counselling because you likely would have solved it independently. I love working with clients with big problems where there is no simple solution. If you’re feeling worried, scared, alone, hopeless, downhearted, or frustrated, let me walk beside you on your healing journey. You don’t have to do this alone.
I work from the knowledge that every person can create powerful, positive and lasting change in their life by calling on their unique strengths. As a counsellor, my role is to help people recognize and deploy these strengths. Using empathy and compassion, I help clients build awareness and insight into the way problems interfere with the life they want to live. I also work to provide effective, practical skills and tools to empower people to feel the wellness and fulfillment they seek in life. Recognizing that the counselling journey is a deeply personal one, I tailor my approach to suit my clients’ needs, treating every person with acceptance and total non-judgment.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of practices, including Narrative, Dialectical-Behavioural Cognitive Behavioural, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy. To me, counselling is a vital and life-giving process built on a foundation of trust, safety, and genuine care.
People often come to sit with me because they are facing depression, anxiety, grief, life changes or transitions, relationship challenges, and other problems.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters. I hold a deep appreciation for nature and can often be found exploring BC’s majestic forests, and spending time in the garden.
